Recently, Chinese car manufacturer - Changan has officially "unveiled" its new electric car model called Lumin Corn. This is a product that the company is targeting in the urban electric car segment in the domestic market, directly competing with "hit" names in the market such as Wuling Mini EV and Chery QQ Ice Cream.

Accordingly, Lumin Corn is developed on Changan's EPA0 platform, for hatchbacks and urban cars. Lumin Corn has a two-door design with compact dimensions, the overall length x width x height is 3,270 x 1,700 x 1,545 mm respectively with a wheelbase of 1,980 mm, larger than the Wuling Hongguang Mini EV with a length of x width x height is 2,917 x 1,943 x 1,621 mm, wheelbase 1,940 mm.

The Lumin Corn is significantly larger in size than the Wuling Hongguang Mini EV.

On the outside, Changan Lumin Corn owns a round, soft and quite simple design.

The front is a circular LED headlight cluster with a surrounding positioning strip, combined with a central air cavity above the front bumper.

The interior of Changan Lumin Corn feels quite spacious and modern, featuring a 10.25-inch central touch screen that integrates navigation, phone, music, radio and autonomous driving systems. The dashboard displays speed, battery charge, range, and energy consumption rate. Besides, there is a 3-spoke sports steering wheel integrated with function keys.

The common control button cluster is located just below the air-conditioning vent.

Lumin Corn's trunk has a capacity of 104 L with the second row of seats collapsible.

In terms of operating power, Lumin Corn is equipped with an electric motor with a maximum capacity of 30 kW (about 41 hp) accompanied by two LFP battery options with a capacity of 12.92 kWh and 17.65 kWh. operating range is 155 km and 210 km respectively.

It is known that in the near future, Lumin Corn will also add a 27.99 kWh battery option for a travel range of up to 301 km and a more powerful engine with a capacity of 35 kW (48 hp).

According to Changan, Lumin Corn will be warranted for 3 years or 120,000 km in China. The car is expected to be on the market in the second half of this year with an undisclosed price.
