Land Rover Defender 130 - a luxury off-road vehicle

The largest SUV in the Defender family with an 8-seater configuration, 3.0-liter engine, all-wheel drive.

 

On August 17, the distributor Land Rover in Vietnam announced the selling price and received a deposit for the Defender 130 terrain SUV imported from the UK. The car has 5 versions and all are fitted with 3.0 I6 engines with power levels of 296 hp or 394 hp:

Defender 130 is the largest and most advanced variant of Land Rover's all-terrain vehicle, next to the inherent Defender 90 and Defender 110 lines. The British automaker launched the Defender 130 for the first time in May 2022.

According to the company's naming rules, the number in the car's name represents the length of the wheelbase in inches. The Defender 90 has a wheelbase of about 90 inches (92.9 inches to be exact), the 110 to be exact 110 inches, and the 130 to nearly 130 inches (127 inches to be exact).

 

The 130 version can therefore be considered an extension of the 110, serving the needs of carrying many people and having a spacious third row for adults as well. Compared to the 110, the Defender is 340 mm longer at the rear. The configuration on the car is 2+3+3.

 

All versions of Land Rover Defender 130 are equipped with standard 20-inch rims, matrix LED headlights. Inside the cockpit, the car is equipped with an 11.4-inch touch screen, an air filter system.

 

In the Vietnamese market, Defender has a 3-liter 6-cylinder engine configuration. Code P300 corresponds to a power of 296 hp, maximum torque of 470 Nm, while code P400 capacity reaches 394 hp, maximum torque of 550 Nm.

 

All Defender 130 versions are equipped with iAWD all-wheel drive system, combined with an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission. The vehicle has a towing capacity of 3,000 kg.

 

The electronic air suspension system on Defender 130 has a stroke of 430 mm, the front axle can be raised by 71.5 mm and 73.5 mm at the rear when in off-road mode. The vehicle is capable of wading 900 mm deep.

 

With a price of 5.7-7.6 billion VND, Defender 130 is another option besides lines like Mercedes GLS priced from 5,139 billion VND, BMW X7 priced at 4,549-6,889 billion VND.
